Come Wander Along with Me...

I wander...it is simply what I do.  Since I was a young girl, my parent's tried everything to keep me close to home, going to such  measures as to buy me goats.  Though I loved my goats, my heart still  wandered.

Growing up in rural New Jersey, I was surrounded by dense woods and long stretches of farm land to fuel my imagination.   I felt at home in the arms of the forest and spent many days laying upon the fragrant mossy soil staring up through the filter of leaves... watching the light dance.  It is these experiences that I work to remember.

In adulthood, I discovered the joy of capturing those precious moments, through my camera's lens.  Though the many years in between my youth and the present, I have enjoyed many wonderful adventures and am currently wandering in another people's land.  For the past 10 years I have had the pleasure of living in Europe and learning to look at life in a very different way.

Through my images and my wanderings, I hope you will enjoy seeing the world around you... in a new way.

So...I invite you to "Come Wander Along with Me..."

To the Distant Hum of Lawnmowers

Lad-Western-09-1sigsmWell, it’s another Saturday morning here in Ladenburg-land and I write to you amidst the hum of distant lawnmowers.  Clover and I having just returned from a long turn around the town and into the fields, are enjoying a quick lunch before heading out once more.
The schedule is tight today as the festival schedule yet again seems chock full.  The local equestrian school is having a Western Riding Tournament, closer to the center of town, under our landmark water tower is the children’s festival and ontop of all that, our tree school is having their big garden event  which happens only every two years.

I believe a good plan of action is in order for today.   So I am off to yet again see what the day provides.

I would love some feed back on the types of blogs you would be interesting in reading and also if you are enjoying the slideshows on Flickr or should I look for another place to creat them.

June 27, 2009 - 15:00 Ben Lapham - Laura I love to read whatever you feel passionately about. Whether it is Clover and your relationship with him, the people you meet at festivals or the people who may be off in service. It is all terrific and moving and human.
