Heh! I love the witch's expression as the mayor tries to bust out of his bonds by brute strength.
Another great carnival.

This is a really fun excursion into YOUR town! They do enjoy many celebrations and I'm glad that you have managed to capture their essence for us. You help to make a far-away place come to life. These photos are just so neat. Good work, Laura! Thanks!

Great shots Laura. I especially like the green-faced drummer. Your description of "happening upon" this festival reminds me of being outdoors one summer evening some years ago and hearing the sounds of country music drifting over the cornfield behind our town-home. Similarly Michael and I "grabbed our gear" and headed over to St. Cecelia's festival where one of our favorite bands was the evening's entertainment and it turned out our friend, Bill was engineering. No costumes or anything tho...just funnel cake, pony rides, carnival booths with games of chance and bingo. - Yvonne :-)

what an amazing festival and so are your photos! I LOVE the witches, and luckily the mayor seems a good sport. They certainly know how to have a good time! Thanks Laura, you brightened up a gloomy dark day here.
