This is a fascinating process.  Your experiment turned out well.  There has to be a feeling of satisfaction when you are successful at doing it all.  I did check the links you provided and can see the potential for Van Dyke processed photos.  

Your final photo shows the browns and on the link shows black and white.  Is this a result of the choice of chemicals?

Thanks for another good \exposure\ (sorry) to an alternative process.
