Come Wander Along with Me...

I wander...it is simply what I do.  Since I was a young girl, my parent's tried everything to keep me close to home, going to such  measures as to buy me goats.  Though I loved my goats, my heart still  wandered.  

Growing up in rural New Jersey, I was surrounded by dense woods and long stretches of farm land to fuel my imagination.   I felt at home in the arms of the forest and spent many days laying upon the fragrant mossy soil staring up through the filter of leaves... watching the light dance.  It is these experiences that I work to remember.

In adulthood, I discovered the joy of capturing those precious moments, through my camera's lens.  Though the many years in between my youth and the present, I have enjoyed many wonderful adventures and am currently wandering in another people's land.  For the past 10 years I have had the pleasure of living in Europe and learning to look at life in a very different way.   

Through my images and my wanderings, I hope you will enjoy seeing the world around you... in a new way.

I am very excited to announce to you my first exhibit on German soil. “Ladenburg…Eine Amerikanische Perspektive” has been in the works for 4 years. It will be a collection of images, shot with various camera formats, digital, Film, Wet Plate and iPhone. From the really lo to hi tech I am hoping it will appeal to all.

After beating my head to design a proper Poster to market the collection an amazing college friend from Ringling stepped in and created this incredible marketing package for me. Curry Mendes’ skills are endless and to him I am ever grateful.

You can catch “Eine Amerikanische Perspektive” at the Ladenburg Rathaus from
15 October thru 29 November 2010.

August 17, 2010 - 05:08 Michael - Hi Laura, thanks for the anouncement of your exhibit. I often pass Ladenburg at the A5 on my business trips. That's a good reason for me to take a stop in Ladenburg. I marked the day of the vernissage in my diary. May be my mother has time too ( I'm not shure, cause she is a very busy 90+ y/o lady ;-)) ) I'm looking forward to meet you ... Michael
